Gav for Relief and Development (GAV4RD) has initiated the first steps of the second edition of “Me and My School” project to distribute school bags to students from 13 schools in Raqqa city and its countryside.
The project is one of the organization’s contributions to restore life to the educational process in Raqqa city and its countryside and to encourage children’s return to school.
The new project is an extension of the first edition of “Me and My School” project, which included the rehabilitation of 37 schools of various levels in Raqqa city and its countryside, and is part of the organization’s efforts to provide continuous support for the educational process and get it back on track after years of war and its devastating effects on children in particular.
The second edition of “Me and My School” project includes the distribution of school bags to 4,526 students in all grades from primary to secondary school in the designated schools, and contains a complete list of pens, notebooks, stationery and tools necessary to start the new school year.
On this basis, GAV4RD invites the parents of students in the schools covered by the project to attend the day allocated to each school to receive the allowances for their children, students, and their stationery contents.
According to the time plan for the project of (Me and My School 2), the distribution of school bags will begin on September 15th, after the opening ceremony, which will be organized in one of the schools specified in the distribution plan according to the following schedule:

Through this project, GAV seeks to raise awareness of the need for all children to return to school, encourage education and demonstrate the importance of children’s participation in the educational process available in Raqqa and its countryside, as this process is the cornerstone of building a healthy generation of negative effects. left behind by years of war and the ideology of violent extremism.
So, the bell rang… Join hands for education together, listen together to the voice of science and knowledge from our teachers, and start writing our new future with our pens and notebooks.
